Boy is that a beautiful pond

[Nightwalker]

Nightwalker and Darkness (his pokemon friend) reached the lake close to sunset. They had heard about how the lake looked like blood in the sunset but nothing had prepared them for how beautiful it was. The bright red water looked like a precious ruby. "Wow! I am glad we chose this as our first mission. I could spend my life here." Darkness didn't seem as impressed as Night. It probably had something to do with him being color blind. <"Why do you like it so much? It's just a plane old pond that is a bit shiny.">

The two friends spend about a half an hour looking at the lake but then as the sun starts to dip below the distant waves they decide they had better start looking for what they had come for. "A Topaz Machamp. I wonder what they look like. The guy up at the HQ told me that we would know him when we see him but i am not so sure."

The two friends look around the lake for a few hours before they decide it is time to set up camp. They don't talk a lot because both of them hate talking but they do seem to understand what the other wants without it so they are fine. After eating a bit of bread they settle down next to the fire and go to sleep. You wouldn't know it if you looked at them but one of them is always awake. They take turns all through the night watching for any intruders. To someone who hasn't been around them they both look asleep.

[Kuku-oni]

As the two companions made their camp for the night, the Machamp they were searching for watched closely. Beside it were two Ruby Machop shuffling about with sticks and stones. <Ne, ne,> one of them spoke softly. <What're we gonna do? They're gonna try to capture you!> The Topaz Machamp chuckled softly.

<Don't worry, we are well prepared, are we not?> The two Machop nodded their heads in unison. Being twins, and all, it was usual for them to do the same things. <Defending ourselves will be simple. If worse comes to worse, they can take me, as long as they leave you two.>

Once the two had settled down for the night, the three fighting-types smirked to eachother. Each grabbing hold onto vines that hung from nearby trees, they pulled, hoping for their "avalanche" plan to unfold.

[Nightwalker]

A few hours before they went to bed the feeling started. Both of them noticed it. For a second Night didn't know what it was but then he realized what it was. They were being watched! Night knew he couldn't say anything to Darky so he just looked at him. Darkness looked back and they both knew what to do. They just acted normal.

That night on one of Night's watches he started to feel movement. Whoever it was that was watching them was about to do something. He tensed one of his arms waking Darkness up and letting him know to appear to be still asleep. They both looked totally relaxed and asleep but in fact both were wide awake and ready to move at a moments notice. Night started seeing some of the trees move a thought formed in his mind. He didn't know exactly what was going to happen but he had a few guesses and he was going to be ready for any of them. So they waited silently for their watcher to make the first move.

[Kuku-oni]

A multitude of rocks fell from the tree tops, which were once held by a giant vine net. The rocks raced down the trees, aiming at Night and Darkness. What were the two to do? Would they get out of the way in time? The Machamp and Machops chuckled to themselves. Their plan was near-perfect. No one would get them. Ever.

[Nightwalker]

Night heard a low rumble. he immediately knew what was going on. One of his thoughts was true. Whoever it was had dislodged a rock higher up the soap. By the time it reached them it could be to large to get away from. But Night had a plan. He knew that as soon as the rocks were dropped it was most likely that the watcher could no longer see them. So he jumped up and ran into the trees to the side. Darkness followed his friend. He also knew what was coming.

As soon as he reached the trees Night jumped into one. He picked the largest one around and climbed as high as possible. Since Darkness couldn't climb well he jumped onto Nights back. The extra weight held Night down but he was still able to get high enough so that when the rocks passed below they were safe.

As soon as the final rock rolled by they jumped out of the tree. The watchers would now no doubt go check the clearing to see if they had hit their target. So Night and Darky circled around the clearing and watched for the person who had been the watcher. They were far enough away that they could see anyone inside the clearing but the person couldn't see them. Night loved to turn the tables on people. Now he could know what they were up against. Whoever it was obviously wanted them to leave but Night wasn't about to give up.

[Kuku-oni]

The three fighting types made their way toward the clearing after the dust from the rock avalanche cleared. Finding no one in the clearing, the three took defensive stances. <Be on the lookout,> the Machamp ordered. He knew they could take it the easy way, or the hard way. It was most likely going to be the hard way. After all, the Machop's type were almost to die for.

[Nightwalker]

Night saw the two Machomp and the Machamp come into the clearing. The man at the HQ had been right he knew it when he saw it. He saw the pokemon look around and then go into defensive stances. He whispered to Darky so quietly you couldn't have heard him if you were standing right there, "Lets wait a while. We can find a better time to get them."

They both knew he was correct. After the pokemon thought they were gone they would most likely become less aware of their surroundings and thus easier to catch off guard. Also it was virtually impossible to find the two. They were both crouched under Nights cloak that made it so that you wouldn't see them if you were standing next to them and they had sprayed themselves with something that took away their scent. All they had to do was stay hidden and wait.

[Kuku-oni]

After a few minutes of searching, the trio decided to give up. Machamp was certain that the two were still within the area, but he did not voice his thoughts to the Machops. Instead, they decided to get some rest. Sure, the area they were in wouldn't be all that comfy, but it wasn't as if they had anywhere to go. Besides, he figured they would end up getting caught.

... The easy way was starting to seem more appealing minute after minute. As long as the Machops would stay at the lake, all would be well. Lugia could look after them.

[Nightwalker]

Night formed a plan in his mind. He talked it over with dark and he agreed. Dark hid in a bush and Night climbed into one of the trees. He got closer to the clearing. All the sudden he shouted into the camp and after each sentance moved to a different spot around the clearing. he moved so fast he thought that the Pokemon wouldn't know were he was, "Machamp i am going to give you a chance...I don't want your friends but i need you...I will throw this pokeball into the clearing and you get into it...If you do your friends will be free.....if not we will have to try this i different way." Night threw the ball strait up in the air so the pokemon wouldn't know were it came from and as soon as he heard it land he went back and hid with Darkness. "I hope this works. We don't really want a fight with them. I think we can get them but it will take a lot of hard fighting." Darkness agreed.

[Kuku-oni]

The Machamp rolled his eyes at the two. <It's not as if I have a choice, correct?> With that, he pulled himself up and strolled toward the pokeball. The Machamp poked the button in the center, before a red light burst out and sucked him inside. A few shakes, and then...

Night now has possession of the Topaz Machamp, but could still capture the two Ruby Machops for extra points. What will Night and Darkness do?

[Nightwalker]

Nightwalker was happy. They had finished. He walked into the clearing and picked up the Pokeball. "Do you two want to come with me? It's your decision. I will try to keep you as my own Pokemon if you come. I will not put you in Pokeballs or nets and i will treat you as i treat darkness. Will you come? You can stay if you like. I totally understand."

They waited for an answer...

[Kuku-oni]

The two Machop moved closer toward Night. They nodded to eachother once, knowing it was most likely the best choice. There were plenty of other Ruby Pokemon Lugia had to look after.

Yay~ The Ruby Machop twins accepted Night. You can now take the Topaz Machamp to the HQ, and can keep the twins.

[Nightwalker]

Night and Darkness walked into the HQ. They had left the other two pokemon in the woods so they wouldn't be taken

"Here is your pokemon. Could i get my stuff?"

Night set the pokemon on the counter and waited for his reward of 100 poke and a steel net.

The receptionist looked down at him while pushing her glasses back up to her face. She picked up the pokemon and slide it down a shoot. Somehow it fit. The lady slide money onto the table then shooed him away. She noticed two pokemon following him. “You may keep them we are full and busy as it is” She stamps a bunch of papers and giving him points for both the machops and the machamp.
